HomeSphere builders saw more signs of a slowing housing market in September with lower absorption rates and more builders resorting to incentives.

• 32% of respondents had worse-than-planned sales in September
• 33% of builders reported positive year over year sales growth per community in September; 22% reported declines in reported sales
• 12% of builders reported lowering some or all of their base prices
