HomeSphere BTIG Builder Intelligence Report Spring April

While March continued to exhibit the “slow-mentum” characteristic of the 2019 construction market, a sizable number of homebuilders still reported seeing increased sales in year over year data.

Highlights from the Latest Builder Intelligence Report

Expectations. 39 percent of respondents reported that sales were better than expected.

Pricing and incentives. Only 9 percent of respondents raised “most or all” base prices in March from February, which is a record survey low.

Input costs. 44 percent of respondents saw month over month increases in labor costs, and 46 percent saw material costs rise.
