Jack Brannigan has spent his career in leadership positions at top companies serving the residential and commercial construction industry.
Most recently Brannigan was the CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Bestcontractors.com, an unbiased directory of home improvement and repair professionals to homeowners. HomeSphere acquired the Denver-based firm in January 2009. In his new role with HomeSphere, Brannigan will support HomeSphere’s position as a leading provider of web-based services to constituents throughout the construction supply chain.
Previously Brannigan as Executive Vice President managed sales for Hanley-Wood, a leading b-to-b media company serving the residential and commercial construction industry. During his 16-year tenure, Brannigan launched new titles, growing the company’s offering to 40 trade and consumer magazines; developed two dozen corresponding websites; and led the acquisition and development of custom publishing and research divisions for the company. Revenue grew from $20 million to $260 million under Brannigan’s leadership.
Prior to Hanley-Wood, Brannigan held top sales and executive positions with construction-related titles published by Cahners Publishing Company (now Reed Business) and Penton Media.
Currently, Brannigan serves on the board of directors of BuilderFusion, a technology company based in Orem, Utah, and serves on the College of Business and Technology National Advisory Board and the President’s National Advisory Council for Western Illinois University.
A life-long resident of the Chicago area, Jack is a graduate of Western Illinois University and Keller Graduate School of Management.
