Glenn M. Renner
President & Chief Operating Officer

In his position as president & COO, Glenn Renner brings a wide range of sales, marketing and operational insights to HomeSphere, honed from a 20-year career within the residential construction supply chain. Renner joined HomeSphere in 2004 as the organization’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer and has since led HomeSphere’s double-digit growth.

Renner was formerly vice president of architectural marketing for global paint and coatings leader Sherwin-Williams (NYSE: SHW). While with Sherwin-Williams, Renner served as sales representative in the Sherwin-Williams Chemical Coatings group before moving into positions of increasing responsibility that included professional coatings sales manager, area sales manager for the Industrial and Marine group, and district manager in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. In 2000, he was appointed to the position of vice president of architectural marketing. There, Renner was responsible for the new product development and implementation of marketing programs to drive the growth of Sherwin-Williams multi-billion-dollar architectural product line sold nationally through more than 2,600 company-owned stores.

In his tenure at HomeSphere, he has developed strategies and tactics that have resulted in the expansion of the sales and marketing function, including the implementation of an automated Sales Force Effectiveness program and Companywide brand redevelopment to drive rapid growth. He has also optimized HomeSphere’s organizational development processes and has been influential in the company’s strategic direction.

Renner’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) and the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI). At Sherwin Williams he was a member of the Painting and Decorating Contractors Association committee that was charged with writing the painting curriculum for the National Center for Construction Education and Research in Washington, D.C., and served as chairman of the marketing committee for the Professional Contractors Education Program. Currently he serves as President of the Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together Metro Denver, an affiliate of the national nonprofit that preserves affordable housing by bringing volunteers and communities together to rehabilitate the homes of low-income homeowners.
